Dag Wilkinson was born in Bristol, England and immigrated to the United States at a young age. After attending elementary school in Pasadena he spent most of his life in Washington DC. He was happy to return to Southern California in 2001 where he resides in Monarch Beach.

Dag realized early on that he wanted to be a lawyer and graduated summa cum laude with an Honors Degree in History from the University of Maryland. Afterwards he earned a joint Masters in Public Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University and a J.D. from Yale Law School in 1982. Two weeks later he married Dr. Caroline Beeson, his wife of 27 years.

Two and a half years after becoming an associate with Willkie Farr & Gallagher’s new Washington office, he and a partner formed Foster & Wilkinson, an international banking law firm . In 1989 Dag joined the telecommunications firm of Wiley & Rein. There he became a partner and head of the corporate practice, closing several billion dollars worth of telecommunications transactions over a 12 year career. Eventually the West Coast beckoned and he joined long time client Capital Pacific Holdings, a regional developer and homebuilder, as Chief Legal Officer in 2001.

“CPH was a chance to have a combined legal and management role and was a great opportunity for me” reflects Dag after leaving the Company in 2008. At CPH, at its peak a $600 million/year company, Dag handled an annual average of $200 million in real estate acquisitions and joint ventures as well as serving on the Executive Land Committee and handling all of the Company’s financings, totaling well over $1 billion.

Dag has since returned to his roots as a lawyer in private practice and has recently opened his law practice focusing on corporate and transactional law. He is also Of Counsel to CorpGenCounsel, a firm specializing in providing part time on-site general counsel services to small public and large private companies.

Dag’s charitable activities have included service on the Board of Directors of the Washington Chorus, a Grammy award winning choral group in D.C., and on the Executive Committee of Opera Pacific in Orange County, where he chaired the strategic planning committee. He has been a member of New Majority, the largest Republican PAC in California, since 2001. Most recently he joined the Board of Miracles for Kids where he is excited about making a difference in the lives of children facing huge challenges in their young lives.

Dag and his wife enjoy international travel, reading, weight training and the outdoors.
