Dear friend of Miracles for Kids:
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to our website!
Miracles for Kids is an organization committed to improving the lives of children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Founded in 1998 as The Breeze Fund, an internal fundraising effort of Sea Breeze Financial Services Inc., our organization raised funds to benefit the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF), whose mission is to improve the care, quality of life and survival rate of children with malignant diseases. The Breeze Fund’s success was truly remarkable, but still we felt that more could be done. Therefore, in 1999 we established a separate nonprofit with the same mission as The Breeze Fund. Originally renamed Mortgage Miracles for Kids, and now doing business as Miracles for Kids, the organization became an independent entity, focusing on broadening The Breeze Fund’s success by expanding its outreach efforts in the mortgage and banking communities.
Today, Miracles for Kids continues to build on the foundation that we laid nine years ago. Our organization remains a staunch supporter of PCRF, and in 2004 we were named their first benefactor, having contributed over $100,000 during the calendar year. In 2006 we joined forces with PCRF in funding clinical trials at the City of Hope Medical Center. We also broadened our programming by launching a new grant program at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) and are now able to assist families in need more directly than ever before. We continue each day to do more by diversifying our fundraising efforts and by bringing in new supporters.
We have structured our website to provide you with in-depth information about who we are and where we are going as an organization. We hope you take a moment to get to know us by browsing through the information on our site. Once you do, we are certain you will want to become involved in our efforts. We offer volunteer opportunities for individuals and for companies looking to get involved, our corporate donor program is easy to initiate and a wonderful way to get employees involved.
