Home: Molly's Kids  Chloe Selmane, 3

Chloe was diagnosed in December 2006 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and was receiving treatment in an outpatient basis at CHOC’s Oncology Clinic. Prior to Chloe’s diagnosis, her mom Catherine was the income earner in the family and Chloe’s dad was the stay at home parent. As a result of their daughter’s diagnosis, however, Catherine had to stop working to help her daughter and husband. During this time, Chloe’s mother also found out she was pregnant, which complicated the physical and emotional stresses the family was experiencing.

After months of using savings and borrowing from family members to handle their finances, the Selmane family ran out of options. The most crucial expense, their mortgage, was the one that concerned them the most and therefore they came to Miracles for Kids for assistance. Miracles for Kids was able to assist the Selmane family with their mortgage payment and they were able to remain in their home.
