Miracles Surf & Paddle Summer Camp 2012
It’s that time of the year again! Miracles Surf & Paddle Summer Camp is back and right around the corner! The purpose of this program is for children with life-threatening illnesses to experience surfing and stand up paddle activities under the guidance of expert instructors. We aim to create a positive learning experience as well as a long-lasting impact on the children by providing a fun-filled and cost-free summer camp program with lunch and transportation provided.
Miracles Surf & Paddle Summer Camp offers a summer day camp for our CHOC Children’s outpatients (ages 7-21 for Surf and ages 5-21 for Stand Up Paddle, pending doctor's release). Activities include: surfing and stand up paddle board, beach games, and an educational tour of the Ocean Institute at the Dana Point location.
Surf and SUP camps will take place in Huntington Beach, Dana Point and Newport Aquatic Center on select Thursdays and Fridays from July 12th to August 31st. Lunch and transportation between the beach and CHOC Children’s will be provided.
Registration is required. Space is limited and medically approved attendees will be chosen on a first come, first serve basis. Selected patients may participate in each activity one time.
