Miracles for Kids Launches Two Financial Aid Programs at CHOC
  March 01, 2006-

March 1, 2006 Miracles for Kids is pleased to announce the launch of two new financial aid programs at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) to benefit pediatric oncology patients and their families and/or caregivers.

The Miracles Fund, managed internally by CHOC’s Oncology Social Services Department, allows Miracles for Kids to provide financial assistance to patients and their families and/or caregivers who are dealing with the financial impact of a child’s treatment at CHOC. The program gives CHOC Social Services representatives direct access to funds, allowing them to address needs as they arise.

The Molly’s Kids Grant Program, a separate application-driven program, assists families with larger financial issues in amounts beyond what is available through the Miracles Fund. The Program matches patients and families and/or caregivers in need with donors willing to sponsor a portion of or the entire grant request. Applicants are screened by Oncology Social Services representatives and if approved, submit an application directly to Miracles for Kids for consideration.

Miracles for Kids is pleased to offer these two new financial assistance programs to pediatric oncology patients and their families and/or caregivers at CHOC. To find out more about these programs, or to become a donor, please contact us at info@miraclesforkids.org or call (949) 878-KIDS (5437).
