Manny Halley - Entertainment Chair

Without a doubt, one of the most influential voices in the entertainment industry is mega successful entrepreneur and music mogul, Mr. Manny Halley. The CEO of Imani Entertainment Group (IEG) was born and raised in the inner city streets of Brooklyn, NY, and brings the hustle mentality and heart of the streets to the boardroom. The bevy of companies under the IEG umbrella, include Imani Management, Imani Records (EMI/Capitol), Imani Publishing (Warner/Chappell) and Imani Film and Television.

Mr. Halley first came onto the scene in 1998 when discovering "Shyne” Jamal Barrow and bringing him to Bad Boy Recordswhere after Sean "Puff Daddy” Combs signed him to a five-album deal on the spot, his self titled debut album was release in September 2000, and made Billboard’s number five spot on the charts .

In 2002, Mr. Halley met and signed sultry soprano, Keyshia Cole, to his growing management/entertainment company. Keyshia Cole’s debut album, "The Way It Is”, was released in April 2005 and went gold within 17 weeks and reached platinum status eight weeks later.

In 2006, in conjunction with BET, Mr. Halley developed and executive produced the hit reality television series, "The Way It Is”, giving audiences the ultimate backstage pass into the life of Keyshia Cole. Mr. Halley’s role was highlighted in the series as viewers saw how flawlessly he handled Cole’s day-to-day affairs with press, studio time, artist collaborations and even her family. The show premiered with outstanding ratings and the season two finale drew in 3 million viewers and 2 million households becoming BET’s largest returning series and original series in BET history.

Imani Publishing is best known for chart toppers such as Lil Wayne’s "How to Love”, Trey Songz’s "Neighbors Know My Name” & "Yo Side of the Bed”, Chris Brown’s "Sweet Love”, Soulja Boy’s "Pretty Boy Swag”, Keyshia Cole ft. Nicki Minaj "I Ain’t Thru”, B.O.B. "Strange Clouds” and much more. Current clients include: Patrick "Guitar Boy” Hayes, Texx, The ARE, Rico Law & Sassieon, G5 Kid, Lambo Lux, Resource, David Connor, as well as artists Young Scooter and TreVante. In December of 2011, Mr. Halley added a new client to his roaster when he took over the day-to-day management of superstar Nicki Minaj.

Branching his company into both Film and Television, Mr. Halley was also the executive producer for "Sacred Is The Flesh” (2001), Lionsgate’s "Truth Be Told” (2004) and "You, Me & The Circus” (2012),  among others.

Continuing to embark on new business entrepreneurial endeavors, Mr. Halley is the new backer of high-end fine dining Chinese restaurant Philippe Chow, known for its Chicken Satay and Peking Duck. The restaurant first opened its doors in 2009 with regulars such as Kobe Bryant, Jay Z and Beyonce, Oprah Winfrey, The Kardashians, Robert De Niro, Anne Hathaway and more. It’s new LA incarnation in the prime of Beverly Hills opened for business in the Fall of 2013 to rave reviews.

With his family by his side, Mr. Halley has sought to create a leading empire that the entertainment industry has yet to see. A man of strength, faith and humility, Mr.  Imani "Manny” Halley will not rest until the world knows who Imani Entertainment is. His commitment, dedication and loyalty to his artists are unsurpassed.
